A family farm in the South Downs - maize maze, farm animals and wide open countryside near Lewes
Farm first, adventure always
Autumn's coming to South Farm
The maize maze closes today after an incredible summer. Thank you to everyone who visited, got lost, and found their way through.
But the farm doesn't stop here. Every October, families across East Sussex come to pick their own pumpkins in our field - hunting for the perfect carving pumpkin near Lewes, loading up for Halloween and the kitchen. Dates coming very soon.
Our small campsite sits in a quiet valley on the farm, just ten pitches, right on the South Downs Way, with Lewes, Brighton and the coast all close by. And if you're here in summer, the maize maze is on your doorstep.
Camping at the foot of the South Downs
A real working farm
South Farm is a working family farm tucked into the Cricketing Bottom valley on the South Downs Way. We farm because we love it - and at certain times of year, we open our gates so you can come and see it for yourself.
From Open Farm Sunday in June, to our summer maize maze, we love sharing the farm with the families and communities around us. Keep an eye on what's coming up and come and find us when we're open.
This summer was incredible. Nearly 2,000 of you came to get lost in our seven acres, and we loved every minute of it. Your five-star reviews have meant everything, thank you for coming, for bringing your families, and for making 2026 our best season yet.
