FAQs

  • How much are the tickets?  

    Tickets are £8.50 but under 3's go free!

  • What are the opening times?      

    We will be open 24th July until 1st September, 10am to 4pm every day except Tuesdays (final admission at 2pm)

  • Do I need to book in advance?         

    We recommend that you do book in advance to avoid disappointment in the case that we are sold out.

  • Which payment methods do you accept? 

    We accept cash, debit, and credit cards.

  • How big is the maze and how long will it take us? 

    The main maze is about 6 acres and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete. Our mini maze will take about 30 to 45 minutes. 

  • Are there customer toilets? 

    Yes. We have portaloos on site, one of which is for wheelchair users.

  • Where are you?          

    The maze is on our farm just outside Rodmell. The postcode is BN7 3FE and the What3Words is ///factually.fallen.tourist

  • Can I bring my dog?  

    Well behaved dogs are welcome on an non-extendable lead in the area outside the maze. Please remember bags to clear up after them. We cannot allow dogs into the maze itself due to disease risk to our cattle when they are fed the crop in winter

  • Is the site disabled access friendly?            

    The paths are wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs and pushchairs, however, please be aware that the paths are mud with no hardstanding so it can be uneven. If it rains, the ground will be muddy so it may be difficult to access at this time.

  • Who can I contact if I have an enquiry?

  • What happens if the weather is bad?           

    We may have to close if we have had heavy rain as it may compromise the paths and the car park. If this decision is made, we will contact you.

  • What should I wear?

    Please wear suitable footwear such as trainers or boots when dry. If it has rained, we would recommend wellington boots. Please dress appropriately for the weather. If it is hot, remember sunhats and sun cream. If it might rain, please bring waterproofs!

  • Can we walk anywhere?       

    No, We ask that you stick to the paths as the crop will be used to feed our cows through the winter. Anyone found to be walking over the crop will be asked to leave immediately.

  • Where do I park?        

    We have free parking available in a grass field. Please drive carefully as there will be children around and the ground may be uneven. Please do not leave dogs or valuables in your car. South Farm Rodmell cannot accept any liability to any customers, other visitors, children or vehicles for theft or damage (however caused) or their possessions whilst in the car park.

  • Can I bring a picnic? 

    We are happy for you to bring a picnic, we advise you bring a blanket to sit on. Please take all your rubbish home with you.

  • Do you keep lost property?  

    Yes, we keep it until the end of the season. Please contact us on SFRMaizeMaze@gmail.com with a full description of what you have lost and we will let you know if we find it.

  • Can my children do the maze on their own?           

    Children under the age of 16 to be supervised by an adult AT ALL TIMES

  • Is the maize edible?  

    No! Even though it looks like sweetcorn, it is much harder and has a very high starch content. It is grown specifically for animal food and cannot be digested by humans. Please do not pick it!
